The Bondi & Districts Chamber of Commerce is a member-based, not-for-profit organisation, with  a fiercely dedicated Executive Committee comprised of local business people.

How do we Do It?

Independent of any level of Government, Bondi & Districts Chamber of Commerce is self funded, primarily through membership fees that are topped up by a range of sponsorships. We enjoy the support of a range of invaluable partner organisations who assist by delivering products and services in their particular area of expertise.

Who We Are

The Bondi Chamber of Commerce prides itself in being the premier business support and networking organisation in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. A not-for-profit organisation, run by its members, the Bondi Chamber of Commerce is located in the heart of bustling Bondi Junction.

We provide facilities to inform, advocate and promote our members through publications, events and activities. All profits gained through all the facilities are utilised to provide benefits for members and the community at large.

The Chamber is the voice of the Bondi District business community and aims to provide a unique level of engagement for the local businesses and communities of the Bondi and Waverley district.

Our management committee is fiercely dedicated to ensuring that the Bondi Chamber of Commerce is a platform for businesses and communities alike, a meeting point that supports and helps to develop business and community throughout the Eastern Suburbs.

The Bondi Region

We, like you, are very aware of the powerful beauty of the area in which we live. Bondi is Australia’s most famous beach and it attracts millions of tourists and visitors to the region every year. The Bondi Chamber of Commerce seeks to drive proactive engagement with the people who visit the area, whilst ensuring that our vibrant and much loved identity is maintained.

The Bondi Chamber of Commerce is actively engaged in lobbying political decision making in the region and works closely with Waverley Council, the political members of the electoral area of Wentworth and any number of state and federal business assistance programmes. This ensures that the Chamber is proactive about the business concerns of the area, actively encouraging greater investment in the area, whilst enlivening public appreciation of the area and its businesses.

The main purpose of this site is to offer local businesses a free listing within the Bondi Chamber of Commerce Business Directory; an extensive listing that is available to anyone who visits the site. What this provides is greater exposure within the Bondi region and an exclusive platform for promotion.

The Board

The Bondi Chamber of Commerce Board is made up of voluntary members of the local business community. Each board member plays an important role that contributes to the successful running of the Chamber. Board members have extensive and diversified expertise and include property owners, investors, accountants, retailers, publicans, and solicitors.

The Bondi Chamber of Commerce harnesses the skills and expertise of its members in a bid to realise the full potential of the Bondi area, whilst promoting, developing and caring for the local community.

As Chamber members themselves, our Committee members represent the views of members in determining the strategic direction of the Chamber and the growth and development of the business community.

All Chamber service is on an honorary basis.

Committee meetings are held…on the second Monday of each month at 6pm.

Appointment of the 4 office bearer positions on the Executive Committee (President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary) occurs at the Annual General Meeting each year. Other Executive positions are filled by the President as required and as outlined in the Chamber's Constitution.

Our vision is to create a sustainable, proactive and engaging platform for businesses and communities in the Greater Bondi area and to be the foremost business building and networking agency in Sydney. The Bondi Chamber of Commerce seeks to be the voice of the Bondi region, whilst being innovative and progressive in its outlook and setting benchmarks in its field.

Our mission statement defines our belief that we can provide ongoing business support and assistance to the local businesses of the Bondi region. Our values are of steadfastness, confidence, reliability and professionalism.

The Bondi Chamber of Commerce leads by example and employs best practice operation; our members are passionate and dynamic; we aim to foster an open and collaborative business community; and seek to represent the majority of businesses in the area within the next 10 years.

We acknowledge that we cannot deliver this vision alone. We need the support and involvement of local businesses and communities.
